Your detailed itinerary
Welcome to India’s capital! Your guide meets you at the airport and transfers you to your hotel. After freshening up, dive straight into the sensory chaos of Old Delhi — hop a cycle rickshaw through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk, browse the spice markets of Khari Baoli, and stand in awe before the majestic Jama Masjid. Wander the historic lanes of Shahjahanabad, sampling street food at every corner — jalebis, chaat, and kulfi. End the evening with dinner and the dazzling Akshardham Temple Sound & Light Show.

After breakfast, explore the imperial landmarks of New Delhi — Qutub Minar (UNESCO), the sweeping Rajpath, Rashtrapati Bhavan, and India Gate. Visit Humayun’s Tomb, the grand garden mausoleum that inspired the Taj Mahal, and the serene Lotus Temple. Stop for a refreshing Shikanji before hitting the Yamuna Expressway to Agra. Arrive by late afternoon, check in, and head straight to the Taj Mahal for the most romantic hour of the day — golden-hour sunset. Watch the white marble shift from ivory to amber to rose as the sun dips. Round off the evening with a visit to the imposing Agra Fort overlooking the Yamuna.

Rise before dawn for the trip’s most magical moment — the Taj Mahal at sunrise. The marble glows gold and blush pink in the first rays, serene and nearly crowd-free. After breakfast and check-out, revisit Agra Fort in the morning light for a deeper exploration of its palaces and the poignant view of the Taj from Shah Jahan’s prison chamber. Then drive toward Jaipur with a leisurely stop at Fatehpur Sikri, Emperor Akbar’s magnificent red sandstone city abandoned in 1585 after just 14 years. Explore the Buland Darwaza, Panch Mahal, and the shrine of Salim Chishti before continuing to the Pink City. Arrive in Jaipur in the evening and check into your hotel.

A full day in the Pink City with all its crown jewels. Begin with an elephant ride up to the magnificent Amber Fort, exploring its mirror palace (Sheesh Mahal) and panoramic ramparts. Then descend into the city: photograph the honeycomb facade of Hawa Mahal, marvel at the astronomical instruments of Jantar Mantar (UNESCO), and tour the opulent City Palace, still home to the royal family of Jaipur. Browse the vibrant bazaars of Johari and Bapu for gems, block-print textiles, and blue pottery. End with a lavish Rajasthani dinner and cultural folk show.

Visit the Jal Mahal, the romantic water palace rising serenely from Man Sagar Lake. Explore the Albert Hall Museum, Jaipur’s oldest museum housed in a stunning Indo-Saracenic building. Browse the artisan lanes of the old bazaars one last time for mojari shoes, hand-block printed fabrics, or lac bangles.
