Your detailed itinerary
Welcome to India! Your guide meets you at the airport and transfers you to your hotel. After freshening up, dive straight into the magnificent chaos of Old Delhi — hop a cycle rickshaw through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk, inhale the heady aromas of Khari Baoli spice market, and stand in awe before the majestic Jama Masjid. Sample street food at every turn — jalebis, chaat, and kulfi from legendary century-old shops. End the evening with the spectacular Akshardham Temple Sound & Light Show, an epic multimedia experience narrating 10,000 years of Indian civilisation.

A full day through New Delhi’s grand Mughal and colonial heritage. Begin at Qutub Minar, the soaring 12th-century UNESCO minaret and its legendary rust-free Iron Pillar. Sweep through the ceremonial imperial axis of Rajpath, India Gate, and Rashtrapati Bhavan. Visit Humayun’s Tomb — the garden mausoleum that directly inspired the Taj Mahal — and stroll the serene Lodhi Garden among medieval tombs. Spend the afternoon at the National Museum, home to one of Asia’s great collections spanning 5,000 years of Indian history and art. Close the day at the breathtaking Lotus Temple.

After breakfast, drive the Yamuna Expressway south to Agra. Arrive early afternoon, check in, then head straight to the Taj Mahal for the golden hour. Watch the white marble slowly transform from ivory to amber to deep rose as the sun descends — the silence, the symmetry, and the sheer scale stop every visitor in their tracks. Round off the evening at the imposing Agra Fort, the Mughal seat of empire rising over the Yamuna, and the poignant octagonal tower where Shah Jahan spent his last years gazing at the Taj he built for love.
- Taj Mahal at Sunset
- Agra Fort
- Mehtab Bagh (Moonlight Garden)
Rise before dawn for the journey’s most magical moment — the Taj Mahal at sunrise. The marble glows gold and blush pink in the first light, serene and nearly empty. A vision you will never forget. After breakfast, drive toward Ranthambore with a stop at the extraordinary Fatehpur Sikri — Akbar’s red sandstone capital abandoned in 1585 after just 14 years. Explore the towering Buland Darwaza, the five-storey Panch Mahal, and the exquisite Salim Chishti Shrine before continuing south into the jungle. Arrive at your forest lodge in time for a briefing from your naturalist and a campfire dinner under the stars.

Today is entirely dedicated to the wild. Your morning begins before sunrise — a thermos of chai, binoculars, and into the jungle aboard an open-top jeep or canter. Ranthambore’s tigers are famously bold, often spotted at water holes, atop ancient ruins, and along open roads in full daylight. Your expert naturalist tracks pugmarks, reads alarm calls, and navigates the zones where tigers have been sighted most recently. After a bush breakfast and midday rest, head out again for the dusk safari — the golden hour light between the ancient trees is extraordinary. In between, visit the 10th-century Ranthambore Fort rising dramatically from inside the reserve — a UNESCO site with lakes, temples, and sweeping jungle views.

One final dawn safari in the misty Ranthambore forest — the jungle at its most atmospheric, with birds in full chorus and the light filtering gold through the sal trees. After a hearty bush breakfast at the lodge, check out and drive northwest to Jaipur, the Pink City — arriving in time for lunch. The afternoon is yours to settle in, explore the old bazaars of Johari and Bapu, and take in the extraordinary rose-pink cityscape before the day’s sightseeing begins in earnest tomorrow. End with a welcome Rajasthani folk dinner and cultural performance.

Then into the city: the 953-window honeycomb Hawa Mahal, the UNESCO astronomical instruments of Jantar Mantar, and the opulent City Palace still home to Jaipur’s royal family. Browse the gem merchants and block-print weavers of Johari and Bapu bazaars. In the evening, climb Nahargarh Fort above the Aravalli hills for a sweeping panoramic view of the entire Pink City glowing in the last light.

Know before you book
Wildlife is wild — sightings cannot be guaranteed. However, Ranthambore has one of India’s highest tiger density rates and our naturalists maximise every opportunity with expert zone tracking.
Ranthambore is open October to June. The park closes during monsoon (July–September). Best tiger sightings are from February to May when vegetation is lower and tigers visit water holes frequently.
Wear neutral, muted colours (khaki, olive, grey) on safari — avoid bright colours or white. Modest clothing required at religious sites throughout the itinerary.
October to March is ideal (15–28°C). April–June is hot but excellent for wildlife sightings as animals cluster near water. Carry layers for early morning safaris — jungle temperatures drop sharply before dawn.
Long lenses (200mm+) recommended for wildlife. No flash photography in the reserve. Professional video equipment requires an additional Forest Department permit arranged by us in advance.
All travellers must carry a government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar / Passport) for monument entries and Forest Department safari permits at Ranthambore.
Children under 5 travel free. Ages 5–12 receive 30% discount on tour price. Children under 6 are not permitted on jeep safaris per Forest Department rules — canter safaris available as an alternative.
Carry personal medications and insect repellent for jungle stays. Bottled water provided throughout. First-aid kit with your guide and naturalist at all times. Malaria prophylaxis recommended for jungle nights.
